Welcome to our class page. Our context for learning in the SPRING TERM is 'Ancient Egyptians'.
Our book study this term is The Great Food Bank Heist- a short story which explores issues around poverty and the themes of friendship and community.
In history, we have completed an overview of the major Ancient Civilisations. We are now completing a depth study of Ancient Egypt. We are looking forward to visiting King Tut's tomb very soon- watch out for photos.
In PSHE, we have been learning how to respond in an emergency, including using the recovery position.
In science, we have been learning about different forces and simple mechanisms.

Spelling in Year 5
In year 5, children will do a daily spelling lesson in which they will investigate and learn strategies to hep them become confident spellers. They will bring home a set of words each week which they will have been studying in school. They will have a spelling test on a Monday.
